SaaS Benchmarks 2024

Like many of our colleagues in the SaaS and venture communities, we have been long time consumers of (and contributors to) OpenView Partners’ industry-leading SaaS Benchmarks Report. It’s played a pivotal role in how we advise our portfolio companies and calibrate our own thinking about the current state of enterprise software and B2B SaaS.

High Alpha has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the OpenView team that spans the better part of two decades. Earlier this year, we began discussions with them about the prospect of High Alpha assuming responsibility for the future of the SaaS Benchmarks Report.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce that High Alpha will officially assume responsibility for continuing to produce and share the report with our peers across the industry. With thousands of data points and hundreds of companies participating annually, this report has become the gold standard for SaaS metrics and insights, providing invaluable guidance to founders and leaders across the industry.

Our entire team is fired up to get to work (the survey is now live!) and we’re grateful to continue to shepherd the legacy of the SaaS Benchmarks Report.

The Go-To Source for SaaS Benchmarking

For years, the SaaS Benchmarks report has been the definitive resource for SaaS founders looking to benchmark their company’s performance against their peers. OpenView's dedication to gathering and analyzing key metrics has resulted in a best-in-class collection of data and insights that helps founders navigate the complex and ever-evolving SaaS landscape.

We owe a great deal of gratitude to OpenView for their pioneering work and the foundation they’ve laid. High Alpha and our portfolio companies have participated and contributed to the report for many years, and our team has leveraged the insights to help our portfolio companies define their strategies and respond to ever-changing market conditions. We know we’re not alone — the report serves as the most trusted source of benchmark data for the entire SaaS community.

At High Alpha, our mission is to help founders and the companies they lead reach their full potential. We believe that taking over the SaaS Benchmarks report is a natural extension of this mission, and we look forward to serving the SaaS community by providing meaningful metrics that inevitably allow them to make the best decisions possible.

We are excited to bring new energy and insights to this essential resource. We aim to build on the existing foundation, while incorporating new data points, analytics, and fresh perspectives to ensure that the report remains the definitive guide for SaaS founders for years to come.
