INDIANAPOLIS — July 23, 2022 — High Alpha, a leading venture studio, announced today that Office & Hospitality Manager Marianne Martinez has been named to the TechPoint Tech 25 Class of 2022.

Since joining High Alpha in 2020, Marianne has ensured our headquarters runs like a well-oiled machine supporting our team, portfolio companies, and Indiana’s broader tech ecosystem. In addition to her work creating an exceptional guest experience for our space, Marianne leads High Alpha’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) committee. The efforts and impact of this committee span our entire portfolio of 60+ companies.

Marianne’s leadership has allowed High Alpha to be proactive in our DE&I efforts to provide access and open lines of communication to numerous organizations, including BeNimble Co., Indy Pride, and Providence Cristo Rey High School, among others. She has also played a key role in implementing inclusive language and educational resources for our entire portfolio.

Before joining High Alpha, Marianne was accepted to DePauw University with a full-ride Ubben Scholarship and served as the university’s Student Body President from 2018 to 2019. She later joined Techstars, where she served as an Office Coordinator.

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Marianne for two years, and her exceptional work ethic and positive attitude are remarkable. With exceptional care, she oversees our headquarters, events, and DE&I committee,” said High Alpha Senior Manager of Real Estate & Executive Assistant Amanda Carroll. “Both peers and senior leadership alike admire her. I fully trust Marianne as a colleague and friend, and I appreciate how she encourages me to think differently. She is a role model for young professionals who aspire to a fulfilling career in the tech ecosystem. High Alpha and Indianapolis are lucky to have her on our team.”

In 2015, TechPoint, the growth accelerator for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, launched the Tech 25 Awards, a prestigious selection of twenty-five individuals who work the long hours, build the products, and run the projects that propel the business forward, but who — not being the CEO or other C-suite executives — don’t get celebrated publicly as often as they deserve.

Tech 25 honorees span a wide range of roles and are selected from three main categories: product development, sales/marketing, and “other.”
