Investment Will Be Used to Scale AI Platform, Expand Marketing and Grow Team
Indianapolis, IN – October 16, 2018 – Pattern89, which offers a unique artificial intelligence platform to improve paid social advertising results, announced today that it has raised $3.5 Million in additional funding. The oversubscribed round was led by F&M Investments and also included participation from High Alpha Capital, Break Trail Ventures, Elevate Ventures, IrishAngels and strategic angel investors, including Chris Baggott (Co-Founder of ExactTarget and ClusterTruck).
Pattern89’s AI-driven platform drives significant improvement of customers’ paid social programs. The platform collects and translates billions of data points, accounting for hundreds of millions in advertising spend, into real-time actionable insights that marketers can use to build the most effective paid social ad campaigns. The company intends to use the latest round of funding to expand its marketing efforts, scale its platform, and grow its data science, sales, and marketing teams.
“With Pattern89’s proprietary AI technology, marketers can surface opportunities invisible to the human eye. Our AI guides marketers to drive stronger social ad performance through computer vision, natural language processing (NLP) and other machine learning algorithms that propel human creativity and digital performance,” said R. J. Talyor, founder and CEO of Pattern89. “With this funding, we will deepen our AI to keep our platform at the forefront of what marketers need to be successful with their social advertising efforts now and in the future.”
Diversifying its board is another top priority of Pattern89, as one of the company’s core values is to build a team that represents the country. Their board has grown and now includes new members Tony Wells, (SVP Marketing at USAA and veteran digital marketer); Lauren Littlefield (Director at Willow Marketing); and board observer Monica Luechtefeld (Board Member of IrishAngels).
“Pattern89 is delivering incredible results for marketing teams due to their extensive investment in data science and AI. Their proprietary algorithms are impressive and improving the performance of social media campaigns for their early customers who are seeing significant revenue gains from the platform,” said Monica Luechtefeld, board observer and former Executive Vice President at Office Depot. “At Irish Angels, we are excited to invest in the Pattern89 team and believe their AI to be the next game-changer in the digital marketing space.”
Since launching in June 2017, Pattern89 has built an impressive list of retail customers, including LIDS, Finish Line and Signature Hardware plus some high-growth online-only retailers like PupSocks and Tecovas.
