On November 15th, High Alpha Partner Eric Tobias sat down with Mali Jeffers and Alan Bacon, co-founders of cultural development firm GANGGANG for an in-person, fireside chat.
Mali and Alan created Butter — a four day fine arts fair — with the intent to build equity in the arts and the creative economy. Butter 2 wrapped its second launch in September, placing over $250,000 worth of art by black visual artists into private, organization, and museum collections.
Fresh off Butter 2, Mali and Alan discussed the challenges they faced as co-founders standing up publicly for their values, how being intentional about diversity, equity, and inclusion can build a high-performing team, and the intersection of art and culture in Indianapolis.
